How Does Journeyeast Make Money?
We are requisitioned by the government and by private & public schools across China to recruit qualified indivuals for teaching Oral English. We earn a commission for each placement and earn a small fee on visa service. Unlike other organizations, we do not garnish teacher salaries.
What is Included in the Program Cost?
The program cost includes international airfare to China (from LAX), airport pickup & transportation to the school, China Visa Service and processing your
work permits and invitation documents. It also includes costs associated with operations overhead and managing the program services,

Couples & Placement with Friends or Family:
Besides price incentives - there are special considerations when placing people
together for the purpose of work in China. You must be able to illustrate
that your relationship will survive the challenges of living and working abroad.
Most teacher apartments are setup for single individuals and not suitable for
couples. Therefore, any placement with friends or family requires that a.
The school must need to hire two teachers, b. they must have suitably spacious
accomodations.
There are certain restrictions you must be aware of, for example: The terms
of withdrawal are different for couples and friends being placed together.
Placement initiatives are exhausting in these situations, therefore backing out
of the program will cause alot of problems and expense to replace your position
at the school. Consider that a school has to lease a special apartment for
you and pay the entirity of the lease one year in advance. Think carefully
before making your decision to live and work abroad with a friend or relative.
Certified Teachers:
Are those individuals having a minimum of two years, in-class teaching experience
and who hold either a TEFL Certification or a Public Teaching Credential.
Journeyeast Alumni:
They did the program once and are foolish enough to come back and do it again.

College Graduate:
You have a 4-year diploma, but little or no formal teaching experience.
That's okay, we'll walk you through the tough stuff and get you on track for a
great experience.
No Diploma:
Mom and Dad probably aren't happy you're reading this, they want you to finish
college. Your expensive fee includes a required Online TEFL Course
(Accredited), Travel Insurance and what we fondly refer to as a, "Pain in the
ass Fee." Which describes the difficulty of finding you legal employment
