Program Coordinator: Someone who organizes a group of eight or more teachers or students into the program can enjoy a free trip. Program Coordinator titles are also reserved for program administrators who work with and coordinate support with group leaders. Group Leader: Are well traveled individuals, alumni, or experienced teachers who act as mentors and are the, "voice" of the group. Mobile Phones are issued to group leaders who support teacher groups at summer camps. Issues are relayed to group leader who attempt to solve problems directly with our education partners and report to program coordinators.
Certified Teachers: We encourage experienced, certified teachers to apply to the program. Special cost incentives are available for individuals who have either a public teaching credential or a TEFL Certification, and who have taught for at least TWO YEARS on their credential.
Couples: We offer special prices for bringing friends or partners into the program. Both parties receive travel and touring discounts which are applied to your program cost.
JourneyEast Alumni: Returning former program participants can enjoy discounted pricing and special tours when available.
College Graduates, BA, MA: The cost for those having a college diploma at the time of application.
Undergraduate Students: Students who are presently enrolled in Universities across the globe. Apply earlier for special discounted prices. Late applicant costs are generally more expensive than other qualification groups.
High School Students: Those individuals eighteen years or younger enrolled in High School or have recently graduated who have the permission of their parents. Apply as early as possible to to take advantage of promotional pricing.
If you do not neatly fit into any of the categories above you can still participate as a teacher delegate in our summer programs. Candidates are evaluated based on their education, teaching and travel experience, and any special skills they may offer.
