Glen & Erin, Airfreshener

There's quite an amazing story that goes along with this photo.. Check out the stories submitted by our teachers.. It's quite hilarious!

Baketball Anyone?

Students prepare to challange the teacher for a game of Bball..

Changxing Teachers

Quite a diverse group. We had teachers from New Zealand, Chicago, New York, Milford CT, Seatle, Ohio, Maine and New Zealand.

Cora and Students

Corrina traveled from New Zealand to China as part of our program.

Fan Lang & Juliet

Romeo & Juliet is more like it! Fan Langs relationship suffered because Keith made him work long hours without sleep. So his girl-friend left him for Ronald MacDonald..

Glen in Hangzhou

Mandarin guide in hand.. Glen attempts to negotiate a boat ride until he finds the boat has weight limit..

Erin Fenton relaxes with one of her favorite student.. Yes, it's impossible not to have favorites!

John Wayne Plays 'Beavis'

The Chinese mans name is John Wayne. And from what the teachers from Tongxiang tell me, he does a mean impression of Beavis thanks to Chris Hallen (right) who successfully currupted him.

Fireworks

Don't drink and light off fireworks from your hotel window at 3:30 am.. PLEASE!!!

Haircut?

Too bad we don't have the "Before" picture. Next time you get a haircut in China. Bring along a interpreter..

Musical Gypsies

While walking through the narrow alleyway in the direction of dinner, these musical folks stopped us for a monetary handout.. With little money in my pocket, we grabbed a guitar and played along..

Musical Gypsies

Kind people wherever we went.. This spontaneous event was captured by Erin Fenton in Tongxiang.

Jason McGarry Dances

There was a six day repose following completion of the teaching tour. Work hard play hard ethic was strong with the Tongxiang group.

Desperado

This taken just moments before Jason Donned his Bag Pipes and marched a scottish jig down the main corridor of the hotel lobby at 3:30am.. Ooh yeah - The hat hides the perm real good Chris!

Pijo-Ranger

Did you know, Auditions for Broke-Back mountain started in China, Here - Jason arrives as a stunt double.

Bagpipes..

Okay.. 3:30am.. Bagpipes and a hotel full of a sleeping audience. Get the picture? Don't try this on your summer with us!

Shanghai's Old Man

This guy speaks seven languages.. Check out the photo's from 2000. Three years ago our group ran into him at the yu yuan market. He's aged well since then.

Huzhou Friends

BESI LLC introduces new friends to local places of interest. This night, drinking games and cards were played at the Soccer Bar, David Chow's Brothers notorious hotspot. These undergraduate teachers from Maryland were introduced to China through a competing agency. They were kind, interesting, and fun. Hope to see you again!

Huzhou, Soccer Bar

Bikin'

David Zhao gives Glen a midnight ride on his scooter. "What's that in your pocket Glen?"

Huzhou, Soccer Bar

Sergio Mercucci and Jesse Jalbert playing cards.

Yunshi Cafe, Benefit

BESI LLC promoted an evening of culture and language at Yunshi Cafe. Davids coffee shop is the first coffee shop in Huzhou.

Yunshi Cafe, Benefit

It was so hot outside the cheese would melt before you could put it on the bread. Glen, Ryan and our new friends from the Traffic School came to help with the event. All together we pooled teachers from Hangzhou Traffic School, Changxing, and Teachers College for the event.
