Chinese Working Visas and Z-Visa Application processing

There is a great deal of misinformation on the internet concerning which visas are required for teaching and how to go about getting the appropriate visa.  Journeyeast.org has specialized in obtaining working visas for teachers since 2000 and is keeps current with new visa regulations and changes to enforcement.

FORUM, VISA FAQ  (UPDATED REGULARLY)

A common misconception is that visa law and regulations change often.  This is usually not the case.  What is presently happening all across China is enforcement of existing laws that have been around for some time.  Recent regulations are directed at schools that are found breaking the law and penalize them heavily for non-compliance.

Long gone are the days that students and non-qualified individuals could travel to China and teach on a tourist visa and convert it to a legal working visa.  Though this practice may still be possible in some remote developing areas, it is expensive, unlikely, illegal, and will be phased out very soon if it hasn't already by the time you have read this.

Using our relations at the Public Security Bureaus and Chinese consulates in cooperation with our school partners, journeyeast.org makes sure that your visas are processed accurately and as swiftly as possible.

What does this mean for you?

If you are not planning to use journeyeast.org as your program provider then you should learn who is eligible to obtain a working visa, the documents required and the process for obtaining the visa. Teacher delegates with journeyeast.org have these formalities processed for them.  If you are seeking to obtain your own visa you should calculate the processing fees and costs of travel to your local Chinese consulate.  There is no mail service to the Chinese consulate and all require the physical presence of someone to present your application documents.  In many cases it would be much cheaper to have a qualified visa processing company process your visa for you.  These companies charge fees, but often you'll find the fees are much less expensive then the cost of traveling to your consular district and processing them yourself.  Journeyeast.org uses

www.Z-visa.com to process working visas for China.
